"Abraham our father tithed. It's by faith" ??

 ON FAITH...

"Abraham our father tithed. It's by faith"

ANSWER...

To begin with, you CANNOT "tithe like Abraham by faith," because ALL ACTS OF FAITH...ALL OF THEM... must be pursuant to a PROMISE OF GOD or a COMMANDMENT OF GOD.

Concerning Abraham tithing; there is neither a command to tithe as Abraham did found anywhere in God's Word given to any, neither Jew or Gentile, neither Old or New Testament Believer, nor is there any reward from God for tithing because Abraham did found anywhere in God's Word.

If you have no command or promise from God, NO FAITH IS POSSIBLE. Deception and confusion, yes; faith, NO!

"So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." - Romans 10:17

NOTE: "HEARING BY THE WORD OF GOD" ...THE WORD OF GOD!

REPEAT; THERE IS NOT ONE WORD OF A COMMAND TO ANY CHRISTIAN TO TITHE BECAUSE ABRAHAM DID, AND THERE EXISTS IN GOD'S WORD NO PROMISE TO ANY CHRISTIAN OF ANY KIND IF THEY WERE TO TITHE BECAUSE ABRAHAM DID.

ON TITHING...

There He Receiveth Them

It is a Biblical fact that we have Scripture that commands tithing to Levites living in the Promised Land. But there is not one single Scripture that states one is to tithe to an Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor or Teacher in a New Testament Church.

Many claim that tithing is valid based on the following verse…

Hebrews 7:8 And here men that die receive tithes; but there he receiveth them, of whom it is witnessed that he liveth.

Here, men that die receive tithes. Who are the men that die in this verse? Many automatically assume that this is referring to pastoral staff in the local church. It is not. Rather, it is referring to the sons of Levi. Verse 5 shows the context of verse 8,…

Hebrews 7:5 And verily they that are of the sons of Levi, who receive the office of the priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brethren, though they come out of the loins of Abraham:

Who are the receivers of the tithe in Hebrews 7:8? The sons of Levi in Hebrews 7:5. The sons of Levi have the command to take tithes. So, naturally…they are the ones who receive them.

And what tithes do the sons of Levi take and receive? The tithes according to the Law.

Leviticus 27:30-34 And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land, or of the fruit of the tree, is the LORD’S: it is holy unto the LORD. And if a man will at all redeem ought of his tithes, he shall add thereto the fifth part thereof. And concerning the tithe of the herd, or of the flock, even of whatsoever passeth under the rod, the tenth shall be holy unto the LORD. He shall not search whether it be good or bad, neither shall he change it: and if he change it at all, then both it and the change thereof shall be holy; it shall not be redeemed. These are the commandments, which the LORD commanded Moses for the children of Israel in mount Sinai.

1. The Levites are to receive the tithes of the seed of the land. This is speaking of food from the fields. Food for the sustenance of the Levitic tribe of Israel because among the children of Israel they have no inheritance. (see Numbers 18:21-23)

2. They receive tithes of the fruit of the tree. This is speaking of that which grows on trees and the oils and juices those fruits produce, such as pomegranates, dates, olives, and figs. Again, for the sustenance of the Levitic tribe of Israel because among the children of Israel they have no inheritance..

3. They receive tithes of the flocks and herds in Israel. Animals born in the stalls and in the pastures were to be tithed from. Every tenth animal to pass under the herder’s counting rod was to be given to God as tithe.

4. They were to receive tithes of the children of Israel. There was no command for peoples of Gentile nations to travel to Israel to tithe. Nor was there a command from God for peoples of Gentile nations to tithe in their own lands. God gave the command to tithe solely to the children of Isreal. (see Leviticus 27:30-34 & Psalms 147:19-20)

Numbers 18:21-23 And, behold, I have given the children of Levi all the tenth in Israel for an inheritance, for their service which they serve, even the service of the tabernacle of the congregation. 22 Neither must the children of Israel henceforth come nigh the tabernacle of the congregation, lest they bear sin, and die. 23 But the Levites shall do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation, and they shall bear their iniquity: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations, that among the children of Israel they have no inheritance. (Notice that verse 22 reveals that the children of Israel, aka the congregation, were not even to tithe to the House of God)

Psalm 147:19-20 He sheweth his word unto Jacob, his statutes and his judgments unto Israel. 20 He hath not dealt so with any nation: and as for his judgments, they have not known them. Praise ye the LORD.

The tithes “according to the Law” (Heb. 7:5) were agricultural. There is no other type of tithe commanded by God in the Bible.

God is not the one commanding or demanding the monetary tithe that men preach in religious institutions today. Nor is He the one receiving the monetary tithes that are taken up in collection plates each Sunday. He never authorized any man to preach or teach a monetary tithe requirement doctrine.

The Book of Hebrews was written in AD 66. The Temple was still standing. In AD 70 when General Titus invaded Jerusalem, the Temple and the Storehouse attached to it were destroyed. Since then, there has been no collection of tithes by Levites in Israel.

Some Tithing Teachers Tell Us That Abraham Is To Be Our Example As To How To Tithe

If Abraham is to be our example as to how to tithe; Abraham tithed to Melchizedek...TO MELCHIZEDEK; where has any minister, or anyone else, been given by God the right to collect tithes for Melchizedek? Chapter and verse requested.

Funny how the tithes they collect never seem to get to Melchizedek, but somehow make it into their own bank accounts.

THE SIMPLE FACTS

THE SIMPLE FACTS...

1. If you are teaching Christians (or anyone) to tithe, YOU ARE A LIAR AND A FALSE TEACHER.

2. If you are receiving tithes, YOU ARE A THIEF STEALING MONEY, YOU ARE A GOD ROBBER.

3. If you are paying tithes, YOU HAVE BEEN DECEIVED AND ARE BEING ROBBED.

Think we're wrong? Prove it with scripture. NO SCRIPTURE; NO PROOF.

"These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so." - Acts 17:11

"Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world." - 1 John 4:1

Bear Sin and Die!

Question; why would God command you to do something that would cause you to sin and die?

BEAR SIN AND DIE...YES, FOR TITHING.

One of the most misused scripture, AND ONE TWISTED COMPLETELY OUT OF CONTEXT, is Malachi 3:10...

"Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it."

Tithing teachers love to quote Malachi 3:10 to their followers representing it as a direct command to Christians to "bring the tithe to their church," a church often claimed to be the "storehouse to be tithed to."

For the sake of argument, let's agree with pastors who claim their church or ministry is a "storehouse to be tithed to."

The problem with that claim is that God's Word makes it very clear that anyone who is not a Levite being directly managed by a Priest of the Tribe of Levi who is a direct descendant from Aaron (while bringing tithes to the storehouse) will be sinning, ("will bear sin"), and die if they attempt to bring a tithe into the Temple Storehouse. IN THE CLEAR CONTEXT OF TITHING; this is found in Numbers 18:21-22...

"And, behold, I have given the children of Levi all the tenth [the tithe] in Israel for an inheritance, for their service which they serve, even the service of the tabernacle of the congregation. Neither must the children of Israel henceforth come nigh the tabernacle of the congregation, lest they bear sin, and die." ..."BEAR SIN, AND DIE."

With an exception of the Levites, the Nation of Israel, God's people, were not authorized by God to bring any tithes to the Temple Storehouse. God's Word makes it clear that the only Children of Israel that were to tithe to the Temple were the Levites. The remaining tribes were forbidden to approach ("come nigh the tabernacle of the congregation") the House of God with their tithes...

"And the priest the son of Aaron shall be with the Levites, when the Levites take tithes: and the Levites shall bring up the tithe of the tithes unto the house of our God, to the chambers, into the treasure house." - Nehemiah 10:38

THAT'S NOT FOR ME!

"That doesn't apply to me," you say? That's correct, it doesn't, because we are not under the Law of Moses (see; Romans 7:6, Romans 6:14). Neither does the rest of the Law of Moses apply to New Testament Christians, including Malachi 3:10, which is based on and pursuant to the Law of Moses;

"Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments." - Malachi 4:4

But, if you do apply Malachi 3:10 to yourself, as tithing teachers attempt to convince you to do, then you must live on ALL THE LAW OF MOSES;

Anyone deciding to live under the Law of Moses, such as doing as Malachi 3:10 commands, must do so perfectly or be cursed...

"For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them." - Galatians 3:10

"For whosoever shall keep the whole law and yet offend on one point, he is guilty of all." - James 2:10

"Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing. For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law." - Galatians 5:2-3

But, you say; "I'm a Gentile (a none Jew), I'm not a child of Israel, so therefore it's doesn't apply to me." Do you think God would prohibit a none Levite child of Israel from bringing the tithe to the Temple Storehouse but permit a Gentile to do so? NOT LIKELY! How do we know? This is how...

"He sheweth his word unto Jacob, his statutes and his judgments unto Israel. He hath not dealt so with any nation: and as for his judgments, they have not known them. Praise ye the Lord." - Psalm 147:19-20

The Gentiles had no commandment or God given authority to bring tithes into the Temple Storehouse.

CONCLUSION

So then, next time your pastor or favorite or tithing teacher says "Bring all your tithes into the storehouse," perhaps you should reply with "NO THANKS, I DON'T WANT TO BEAR SIN AND DIE!"

Of course, NOWHERE in God's Word is a New Testament church (including the pastor, building or organization) described by God as a "Temple Storehouse to be tithed to." So, maybe it would be better to inform your pastor that fact, and say NO to tithing when the golden plate comes sailing by during the next Sunday service.

Tithe Or End Up In Hell?

Some tithing teachers claim that refusing to tithe will send a person to hell.

They often refer to 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 as "proof" of what they claim; in particular citing the phrase "nor thieves"..."will not inherit the kingdom of God"

"Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God."

What these tithing teachers don't tell you is that 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 is speaking of the UNRIGHTEOUS, NOT THE RIGHTEOUS..."Do you not know that the UNRIGHTEOUS will not inherit the kingdom of God?"

We, as Believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, those who have received Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, have been ETERNALLY DECLARED RIGHTEOUS BY GOD, and our sins are FOREVER FORGIVEN...

"For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him." - 2 Corinthians 5:21

If we sin, we have an advocate with the Father...

"My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous;" - 1 John 2:1

We may sin, and need to be cleansed of our sin, but we can never in the eyes of God ever be called the unrighteous again. Why? This is why...

"Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God." - 1 John 3:9

And this is why...

"Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;" - Colossians 2:14

The part of you that is BORN OF GOD CANNOT SIN, therefore you CANNOT lose your salvation due to sinning, and because "His seed remaineth in him" ...that is to say Jesus, through the Holy Spirit, will forever REMAIN IN YOU, and NO ONE filled with God's Spirit will spend eternity in hell...NO ONE.

SALVATION

The truth is that Jesus DOES NOT NEED you to add tithing to His finished work on the Cross of Calvary in order to save you from your sins. The Word of God tells us...

"All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never cast out." - John 6:37

"Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life." - John 5:24

"I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God that you may know that you have eternal life." - 1 John 5:13

"For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” - Romans 10:13

"There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus." - Romans 8:1

"My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand. I and the Father are one.” - John 10:27-30

"For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God," - Ephesians 2:8

"For whenever our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and he knows everything." - 1 John 3:20

>>> WHERE DO YOU SEE A NEED, COMMAND OR REQUIREMENT FOR TITHING IN ANY OF THOSE SCRIPTURES LISTED ABOVE FOR SALVATION? You won't find them there or anywhere else in God's Word!

Tithing teachers that make such a claim, a claim that you must tithe to be saved, ARE EVIL DEMONIC UGLY LIARS, and the truth is NOT in them. They are thieves who are after your money to satisfy their filthy demonic greed. As God's Word also says...

Titus 1:10-11 - "For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision: WHO's MOUTHS MUST BE STOPPED, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for FILTHY LUCRE'S SAKE."

And...

"Perverse disputings (or claims) of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain (money) is godliness: from such withdraw thyself." -1 Timothy 6:5

SALVATION IS THROUGH...

Sola scriptura ("by Scripture alone")

Sola fide ("by faith alone")

Sola gratia ("by grace alone")

Solus Christus or Solo Christo ("through Christ alone")

Soli Deo gloria ("glory to God alone")

TITHING HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH YOUR SALVATION.

TITHING IS TO CONTINUE? THEN WHY NOT MORE?

Many tithing teachers claim that we [Christians] must continue to tithe because, as he claims; "nothing in the New Testament tells us to stop tithing."

I have asked many tithing teachers who the "us" is who they identify as those who are supposed to continue tithing, but thus far I have received no answer identifying the "us" they speaks of. I am are still waiting for an answer from them regarding my question.

In the meantime, I also ask tithing teachers that since they claim the Old Testament practice of tithing (which was a requirement under the Law of Moses) should continue unabated into the New Testament period...after all, "nothing says it shouldn't" says many tithing teachers" why shouldn't any of these practices and requirements, along with tithing, also continue unabated into the New Testament period...after all, nothing says they shouldn't in the New Testament, or for that matter, in the Old Testament.

Do tell us, tithing teachers; why the following practices should not also continue in full force today as you claim tithing should (why just tithing?)...

> Purchase a Hebrew slave in accordance with the prescribed laws — Ex. 21:2

"Nothing in the bible says we should stop tithing."

Answer...

>> 1. That is called "an argument from silence;" to say that you are mandated by something the Bible DOES NOT SAY is ridiculous and deceptive because there is NO END to what the Bible does not say. One could invent an endless list of things the Bible does not say and believe you can justify what you want to do, and what you want to teach, by such a list.

You cannot use what the Bible does NOT SAY as a basis for divine authority. To do so is sheer folly, and dangerous...

"For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. - Revelation 22:18

We have a faith ONCE AND FOR ALL delivered to the saints, it doesn't keep going and keep going, and it is NOT based on what the Bible DOES NOT SAY...

"Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints." - Jude 1:3

Where does the Bible say to stop killing Philistines? I guess we should hunt them down today and continue killing them? After all, the Bible doesn't tell us to stop.

>> 2. Tithing teachers will often ask "where has the Bible told us to stop tithing?" The answer to that is simple; who is "us," and why would God tell "us" to stop doing something He never told us to do so in the first place?

The tithing requirement was on the Nation of Israel under the Law of Moses, and God never required Gentiles to tithe, neither has God required the New Testament church to tithe. So, again I ask; who is "us?"

Why would God tell "us" not to tithe when He never told "us" to tithe in the first place? The very fact that God doesn't include anything in the New Testament telling us not to tithe is because God never instructed us to begin tithing.

>> 3. It could be argued that God does tell us to stop tithing, and He does so here...

II Corinthians 9:7 tells us "Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; NOT grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver."

Notice the word NOT, which means NO, DO NOT DO. No to what? No to giving under necessity, compulsion, grudgingly...NO TO TITHING.

>>> We are called by God to be Holy spirit led free will givers, not tithers conned into tithing by liars and their foolish unbiblical tactics, their traditions of men.

Titus 1:10-11 - "For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision: WHO's MOUTHS MUST BE STOPPED, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for FILTHY LUCRE'S SAKE."

>>> QUESTION; Where and when did God transfer the ownership of the tithe from the Tribe of Levi to any Pastor, Church, Ministry or anyone? If you don't OWN the tithe, you have NO right to collect it in any shape or form from anyone...

"And, behold, I have given the children of Levi all the tenth in Israel for an inheritance, for their service which they serve, even the service of the tabernacle of the congregation." - Numbers 18:21

SINCE WHEN did you (or a church or ministry) inherit the Tithe? Can you show me Book, Chapter and Verse where God has given the tithe to you, your church, or your ministry?

>> If you answer "tithing was around before the Law," Jesus disagrees with you; Jesus clearly stated that tithing, as instructed by God, was a matter OF THE LAW...

> 1. Jesus stated that tithing was a matter of the Law of Moses, The Torah - Matthew 23:23, Luke 11:42:49.

> 2. Jesus did not state that tithing was a matter of Abraham or Jacob, neither of the two are ever cited in God's Word as examples of tithing to be followed. Abraham circumcised 300 in his household; should we do the same?

No Such Thing

From a Biblical point of view (that is to say; IN THE BIBLE, IN THE WORD OF GOD, COMMANDED BY GOD), there is no such thing as...

> There is no such thing as tithing money (monetary tithing) anywhere in the Bible.

> There is no such thing as tithing from income anywhere in the Bible. All tithe came from God's increase of the land which was owed by the Levite, not by the tither, therefore cannot be considered "income." It was simply the property of the Levite.

> There is no such thing as a commandment to tithe to a Gentile; Gentiles have never been commanded to tithe anywhere in the Bible (New or Old Testament Gentiles).

> There is no such thing as tithing off (not living on) the Promise Land anywhere in the Bible. All tithers must live on the Promise Land.

> There is no such thing as an apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor, teacher or any other New Testament minister church or organization authorized to collects tithes. All collection of any kind of tithe by the aforementioned is thievery.

> There is no such thing as a doctrine or warning that a Christian must tithe or be sent to hell; anyone claiming so is a demonic liar. There is no need, and indeed is foolishness, to add anything to the cross, including tithing, to be saved. Anyone adding tithing as a requirement to be saved to the FINISHED WORK OF JESUS ON THE CROSS is a demonic liar, is preaching ANOTHER GOSPEL, AND IS CURSED.

> There is no such thing as tithing based on the demands of a pastor, a church, or a person claiming to have seen a vision (or "special knowledge") telling Christians to tithe.

> There is no such thing as "love tithing," "grace tithing," or any "New Testament tithing," or any other form of modern day tithing.

> There is no such thing as tithing because Abraham did, Jacob did, Adam did, Abel did or because anyone else did, or it is claimed that they did.

> There is no such thing as individuals commanded to tithe; God called a NATION to tithe; the NATION OF ISRAEL, no single individual has ever had a commandment by God to tithe.

THE FACT IS; THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS "CHRISTIAN TITHING."

If you believe I am wrong; POST SCRIPTURE TO PROVE IT. Without SCRIPTURE, you have NO PROOF.

GROW UP, CHURCH!

Stand fast in the liberty we have been given through Christ! Don't let tithing teachers LIE TO YOU and ROB YOU.

It's time the Church decides to be like the Bereans and really dig in and study. Be teachable, and make the choice to let the Scriptures "get in the way" of what you believe, even if it means that your whole paradigm must change! THAT is the mark of a mature believer.

"These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so." - Acts 17:11

"Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." -2 Timothy 2:15

"Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world." - 1 John 4:1

FOOLISH STATEMENTS MADE BY TITHERS - NUMBER 4

> Foolish Statement...

"I tithe because it works for me!"

> Answer...

To begin with, we could easily say with just as much authority "I don't tithe, and that works for me!" Whether or not it "works for you" is irrelevant. Such a statement has no meaning at all when examined closely in the light God's word. NOWHERE in God's word are we instructed to "do what works for you." In fact, that concept "doing what works for you" is condemned in the Bible and is a FOOLISH attitude and a deceptive belief...

"In those days there was no king in Israel: every man did that which was right in his own eyes." - Judges 21:25

"There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death." - Proverbs 14:12

“This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.” - James 3:15

We are NOT called by God to "tithe because it works for me," satan can make things "work for you" as a powerful deception leading you away from God's word. And, in fact, he often does. We are to order our lives SOLIDLY ON GOD'S WORD, NOT ON WHAT WORKS FOR US.

Without God's word we walk in darkness and are deceived into following our own destructive path. That is why the Psalmist wrote...

"Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path." - Psalm 119:105

Notice the Psalmist DID NOT WRITE "What works for me is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path."

If you are tithing, and are doing so because you believe "it works for me," YOU ARE DECEIVED AND IN DARKNESS. We are to live as Jesus said; "But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God." - Matthew 4:4

Note: "BY EVERY WORD THAT PROCEEDETH OUT OF THE MOUTH OF GOD"...not by what you claim "works for you."

The following are scriptures that instruct us to look to God's word for what we are to do, and to God's word for what REALLY WORKS!

> Scripture (be wise; carefully consider and study them)...

"These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the SCRIPTURES daily, whether those things were so." - Acts 17:11

"Ye shall walk in all the ways which the Lord your God hath commanded you, that ye may live, and that it may be well with you, and that ye may prolong your days in the land which ye shall possess." - Deuteronomy 5:33

"Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me." - Psalm 119:133

"Ye shall walk after the Lord your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him." - Deuteronomy 13:4

"Blessed is every one that feareth the Lord; that walketh in his ways." - Psalm 128:1

"The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way." - Psalm 37:23

"For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them." - Ephesians 2:10

"I made haste, and delayed not to keep thy commandments." -Psalm 119:60

> Note: Do a study on following God's word as opposed to what you think works, it will be a great blessing to you and will set you free from "Christian tithing" and other deceptions.

> Conclusion; So as you can see, people who claim that they "tithe because it works for me" are being foolish and are deceived. We must make a strong quality decision to study, look carefully into God's word, and make it first place in our lives, doing as God commands us, not relying on "what works for me."

As God's word says; "But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves." James 1:22 ...DOERS OF THE WORD, not doers of what we think works for us.

FOOLISH STATEMENTS MADE BY TITHERS - NUMBER 3

> Foolish Statement...

"We should tithe money, because fruits, vegetables and clean animals were used as 'money' in Biblical times for paying a tithe, that was the currency of their era as dollars are today."

(Note: They often claim that bills, purchases, debts, etc, were all paid with fruits, vegetables and clean animals).

> Answer...

When tithing teachers are proven wrong concerning their false teachings of monetary tithing (the tithing of money, or the tithing of money from income), and when confronted with overwhelming Biblical proof that ALL tithing God had commanded was limited to fruits, vegetables and clean animals from the Promise Land, they will claim that "fruits, vegetables and clean animals were the currency (money) of the Biblical era." That is to say fruits, vegetables and clean animals were their currency just as dollars or pounds or Russian rubles, etc, are today. This claim is an attempt to circumvent the fact that nowhere in God's word is money EVER declared by God to be suitable for tithing to anyone. Tithing teachers and tithers are tying to convince people that as with the people of Biblical times, "we pay our tithes with the money of our era, they did the same with theirs."

The fact is that fruits, vegetables and clean animals were NEVER used as the common everyday currency of Biblical times in Biblical lands, and as with us today, they paid their debts, purchased items and paid for services with money; gold pieces, silver pieces, shekels and later, Roman coins, etc. Bartering was employed at times (as it is today), but fruits, vegetables and clean animals were not common means of economic exchange.

> Scripture...

>>> Scriptural References, Part One; THE SCRIPTURES CLEARLY DESIGNATING THE TITHE TO BE LIMITED TO AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS ONLY;

With any subject in the Bible, we need to get God's definition of it, otherwise we end up in confusion and error. God does not define the giving of 10% of your income (paycheck or any other income) as "tithing," God's definition of tithing is found in the Bible, not the traditions of men. You will find God's definition of tithing in the 613 statutes of the Torah or scripture referring to the Torah. Any other description of tithing is false and misleading.

God never designated money as suitable for tithing. A minimal of 17 times in through the Old and New Testaments God states that the tithe shall be fruits, vegetables (or derivatives of fruits such as oil or juice) and clean animals grown on (or born on) the Promise Land. Even in Malachi 3:10 (the flag ship scripture for tithing teachers) the tithes are described as MEAT (food), not money.

>> Tithe scriptures designating the tithe limited to agricultural produce from the Promise Land...

> Lev. 27:30, 32 "And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land, or of the fruit of the tree, is the LORD’s. It is holy to the LORD.… And concerning the tithe of the herd, or of the flock, even of whatsoever passes under the rod, the tenth shall be holy to the LORD."

> Num. 18:27 "And this your heave offering shall be reckoned to you, as though it were the grain of the threshing-floor, and as the fullness of the wine-press."

> Num. 18:28 "Thus you also shall offer a heave offering to the LORD of all your tithes, which you receive of the children of Israel; and you shall give thereof the LORD’s heave offering to Aaron the priest."

> Deut 12:17 "You may not eat within your gates the tithe of your grain, or of your wine, or of your oil."

> Deut. 14:22 "You shall truly tithe all the increase of your seed, that the field brings forth year by year."

> Deut. 14:23 "And you shall eat before the LORD your God, in the place which he shall choose to place his name, the tithe of your grain, of your wine, and of your oil, and the first offspring of your herds and of your flocks, that you may learn to fear the LORD your God always."

> Deut. 24:21 "When thou gatherest the grapes of thy vineyard, thou shalt not glean it afterward: it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow."

> Deut. 26:12 "When you have made an end of tithing all the tithes of your increase [produce: RSV] the third year, which is the year of tithing, and have given it to the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, that they may eat within your gates, and be filled."

> 2 Chron. 31:5 "And as soon as the commandment was circulated, the children of Israel brought in abundance the first fruits of grain, wine, and oil, and honey, and of all the increase of the fields; and the tithe of all things they brought in abundantly."

> 2 Chron. 31:6 "And concerning the children of Israel and Judah, that lived in the cities of Judah, they also brought in the tithe of oxen and sheep, and the tithe of holy things which were consecrated to the LORD their God, and laid them by heaps."

> Neh. 10:37 "And that we should bring the first fruits of our dough, and our offerings, and the fruit of all manner of trees, of wine and of oil, to the priests, to the chambers of the house of our God, and the tithes of our ground to the Levites, that the same Levites might have the tithes in all the cities of our tillage."

> Neh. 13:5 "And he had prepared for him a great chamber, where previously they laid the grain offerings, the frankincense, and the vessels, and the tithes of the grain, the new wine, and the oil, which was commanded to be given to the Levites, and the singers, and the porters, and the offerings of the priests."

> Mal. 3:10 "Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat [food] in my house."

> Matt. 23:23 "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you pay tithe of mint and anise and cumin (spices, ie, fruits,vegetables)..."

> Luke 11:42 "But woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye tithe mint and rue and all manner of herbs, and pass over judgment and the love of God: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone."

>>> Scriptural References, Part Two; THE SCRIPTURES CLEARLY DESIGNATING THE USE OF MONEY (CURRENCY) AS FAR BACK AS ABRAHAM UP TO THE TIME OF JESUS AND THE BOOK OF ACTS;

Tithing teachers will often claim that fruits, vegetables and clean animals were the "currency of the day in Israel," and that they "didn't have money as we know it," so therefore money can be used to tithe. That is a lie as scripture reveals...

>>> List of scriptures showing the use of money in the Old and New Testaments (NOTE CLOSELY; MONEY IS NEVER MENTIONED AS BEING USED TO PAY A TITHE...NOT EVEN ONCE)...

Genesis 23;12-16 "But Abraham bowed before the Hittites 13 and said to Ephron, so that everyone could hear, “May I ask you, please, to listen. I will buy the whole field. Accept my payment, and I will bury my wife there.” Ephron answered, “Sir, land worth only four hundred pieces of silver—what is that between us? Bury your wife in it.” 16 Abraham agreed and weighed out the amount that Ephron had mentioned in the hearing of the people—four hundred pieces of silver, according to the standard weights used by the merchants."

Exodus 38:28 "And of the thousand seven hundred seventy and five shekels he made hooks for the pillars, and overlaid their chapiters, and filleted them.'

Exodus 38:29 "And the brass of the offering was seventy talents, and two thousand and four hundred shekels."

Leviticus 5:15 "If a soul commit a trespass, and sin through ignorance, in the holy things of the LORD; then he shall bring for his trespass unto the LORD a ram without blemish out of the flocks, with thy estimation by shekels of silver, after the shekel of the sanctuary, for a trespass offering:'

Leviticus 27:3 "And thy estimation shall be of the male from twenty years old even unto sixty years old, even thy estimation shall be fifty shekels of silver, after the shekel of the sanctuary.

Leviticus 27:4 "And if it be a female, then thy estimation shall be thirty shekels.'

Leviticus 27:5 "And if it be from five years old even unto twenty years old, then thy estimation shall be of the male twenty shekels, and for the female ten shekels.'

Leviticus 27:6 "And if it be from a month old even unto five years old, then thy estimation shall be of the male five shekels of silver, and for the female thy estimation shall be three shekels of silver."

Leviticus 27:7 "And if it be from sixty years old and above; if it be a male, then thy estimation shall be fifteen shekels, and for the female ten shekels.'

Leviticus 27:16 "And if a man shall sanctify unto the LORD some part of a field of his possession, then thy estimation shall be according to the seed thereof: an homer of barley seed shall be valued at fifty shekels of silver."

Numbers 3:47 "Thou shalt even take five shekels apiece by the poll, after the shekel of the sanctuary shalt thou take them: (the shekel is twenty)"

Numbers 3:50 "Of the firstborn of the children of Israel took he the money; a thousand three hundred and threescore and five shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary:"

Matthew 21:12-13 "And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the money changers, and the seats of them that sold doves, And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves."

Mark 12:41-42 "And Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much. And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing."

Acts 8:20 "But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money."

> Note: 17 times in God's Word the tithe is declared to be fruits, vegetables and clean animals from the Promise Land, and 14 times that we have listed above, God's Word records the use of money over a long period of time.

> Conclusion; We must always seek and accept God's description of anything. If God declares in His word that the tithe shall be fruits, vegetables and clean animals from the Promise Land, then that is how it is, that is reality, that is truth. God means what He says, and says EXACTLY what He means; that includes what He says about tithing; there is within God's Word NO SUCH THING AS MONETARY TITHING.

"For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven." - Psalm 119:89

FOOLISH STATEMENTS MADE BY TITHERS - NUMBER 2

> Foolish Statement...

"If I don't tithe, I'll be cursed."

> Answer...

Christian are redeemed from the curse of the law and cannot be cursed by not tithing. Jesus, on the cross, was made to be a curse for us forever saving us from being cursed. Tithing teachers who claim you are cursed for not tithing are false teachers and liars.

> Scripture...

"Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith." - Galatians 3:13-14

"So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham." - Galatians 3:9

"Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us." - Hebrews 9:12

"Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works." - Titus 2:14

"And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance." - Hebrews 9:15

"Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus." - Romans 3:24-26

"Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you, Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God." - 1 Peter 1:18-21

"And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;" - Revelation 5:9

> Note: Our redemption (i.e., delivered from, saved from, purchased from) the curse of the law and from sin has been accomplished, it was accomplished on the cross and is received by faith alone.

> Conclusion; no Christian must tithe to be redeemed from the curse, we already have been redeemed by Jesus. You cannot redeem yourself from the curse by tithing, redemption from the curse cannot be lost by not tithing. A Christian cannot add anything to their redemption from the curse, and that includes adding tithing. None of the scriptures listed above include tithing as a requirement, or add a component such as tithing to be redeemed from the curse. We are redeemed from the curse by the blood of Jesus Christ on the cross, not by giving 10% of our income to anyone. You cannot buy your redemption from the curse by tithing. Tithing teachers who teach you must tithe or be cursed are liars.

FOOLISH STATEMENTS MADE BY TITHERS - NUMBER 1

> Foolish Statement...

"I tithe to get the blessings of Abraham."

> Answer...

We already have all of the blessings of Abraham the moment we received Jesus Christ as our Savior.

> Scripture...

"That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith." - Galatians 3:14

"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:" - Ephesians 1:3

"And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s descendants, heirs according to promise." - Galatians 3:29"

"Therefore, the promise comes by faith, so that it may rest on grace and may be guaranteed to all Abraham's offspring--not only to those who are of the Law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham. He is the father of us all." - Romans 4:16

> Note: It has already been given to us through Jesus Christ and cannot be obtained by tithing.

> Conclusion; no Christian must tithe to receive the blessings of Abraham, we already have it, it cannot be obtained by tithing, it cannot be lost by not tithing.

Three Simple Words

Do you people who teach or believe in tithing know what these words mean?...

1. WEAK

2. UNPROFITABLE

3. DISANNULLED

If not, keep reading...

1. WEAK - lacking the power to perform physically demanding tasks; lacking physical strength and energy. Inability to perform something or cause something to happen.

2. UNPROFITABLE - not yielding profit or financial gain. Not returning anything to an investor, a venture returning nothing to all involved.

3. DISANNULLED - transitive verb. dis·an·nulled, dis·an·null·ing, dis·an·nuls. To annul or cancel. Related Forms: dis′an·nul′ment. To put an end to something.

>> Here are the words WEAK, UNPROFITABLE, and DISANNULLED from the Greek original language used in Hebrews chapter 7...

1. WEAK - Greek: ἀσθενής

Transliteration: asthenēs

Pronunciation: as-then-ace'

Definition: From G1 (as a negative particle) and the base of G4599; strengthless (in various applications literally or figuratively and morally): - more feeble impotent sick without strength weak (-er -ness thing).

KJV Usage: weak (12x), sick (6x), weakness (2x), weaker (1x), weak things (1x), impotent (1x), more feeble (1x), without strength (1x).

Occurs: 25

In verses: 23

> IN SHORT - FEEBLE, IMPOTENT, NO STRENGTH.

2. UNPROFITABLE- Greek: ἀνωφέλες

Transliteration: anōpheles

Pronunciation: an-o-fel'-ace

Definition: From G1 (as a negative particle) and the base of G5624; useless or (neuter) inutility: - unprofitable(-ness).

KJV Usage: unprofitable (1x), unprofitableness (1x).

Occurs: 2

In verses: 2

> IN SHORT - USELESS.

3. DIS-ANNULLED - Greek: ἀθέτησις

Transliteration: athetēsis

Pronunciation: ath-et'-ay-sis

Definition: From G114; cancellation (literally or figuratively): - disannulling put away.

KJV Usage: disannulling (1x), to put away (with G1519) (1x).

Occurs: 2

In verses: 2

> IN SHORT - CANCELLED, GONE FOREVER!

Or, as CLEARLY STATED IN HEBREWS 7:18...

"For there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof."

What is DISANNULLED? What is WEAK? What is UNPROFITABLE? These three...

1. The Levitical Priesthood (which could bring perfection [salvation] TO NO ONE, Hebrews 7:11).

2. The Law of Moses relative to New Testament Christians who are NOT UNDER THE LAW (Romans 6:14, Acts 15:24).

3. Tithing, which is of the law of Moses (Hebrews 7:5, Numbers 18:21-24, Matthew 23:23).

ALL THREE ARE WEAK, ALL THREE ARE UNPROFITABLE, AND ALL THREE ARE DISANNULLED.

In Hebrews Chapter Seven, Verses Number; 5, 6, 8, and 9 focus CLEARLY ON TITHING, and while proving the superiority of Christ's priesthood, Hebrews 7 ALSO places tithing (along with the rest of the law of Moses) in a position of INFERIORITY relative to the New Covenant, and declares it all WEAK, UNPROFITABLE, DISANNULLED.

>> Tithing that God commanded was established in, and part of the Law of Moses; that is VERY CLEAR in Hebrews 7:5...

"And verily they that are of the sons of Levi, who receive the office of the priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the people ACCORDING TO THE LAW, that is, of their brethren, though they come out of the loins of Abraham:"

THERE IS NO COMMAND TO TITHE GIVEN TO ANYONE, JEW OR GENTILE, OUTSIDE OF THE LAW OF MOSES. ADDITIONALLY, GENTILES HAVE NEVER BEEN COMMANDED TO TITHE...

"He sheweth his word unto Jacob, his statutes and his judgments unto Israel. He hath not dealt so with any nation: and as for his judgments, they have not known them. Praise ye the Lord." - Psalm 147:19-20

ALL COMMANDMENTS TO TITHE ARE IN THE LAW OF MOSES, OR SCRIPTURE REFERRING TO AND PURSUANT TO THE LAW OF MOSES SUCH AS IN MALACHI 3:10...

"Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it." - Malachi 3:10

Malachi states in Malachi 4:4 that who he is talking to, who he is commanding to "bring in the tithe," ARE UNDER THE LAW OF MOSES...

"Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments." - Malachi 4:4

And, the command to bring in the tithe to the Storehouse is to the Priests of Aaron, not ANYONE ELSE...

"And now, O ye priests, this commandment is for you." - Malachi 2:1...what commandment? THE COMMANDMENT TO BRING IN THE TITHE TO THE STOREHOUSE...

"And the priest the son of Aaron shall be with the Levites, when the Levites take tithes: and the Levites shall bring up the tithe of the tithes unto the house of our God, to the chambers, into the treasure house." - Nehemiah 10:38

NO ONE WAS TO BRING THE TITHE TO THE STOREHOUSE EXCEPT THE LEVITES AND PRIESTS OF AARON...NO ONE ELSE LEST THEY DIE...

"And, behold, I have given the children of Levi all the tenth in Israel for an inheritance, for their service which they serve, even the service of the tabernacle of the congregation. Neither must the children of Israel henceforth come nigh the tabernacle of the congregation, lest they bear sin, and die." - Numbers 18:21-22

CHRISTIANS ARE NOT UNDER THE LAW OF MOSES, AND THEREFORE HAVE NO COMMANDMENT TO TITHE...

"For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are NOT UNDER THE LAW but under grace." - Romans 6:14

"Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, Ye must be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave NO SUCH COMMANDMENT:" - Acts 15:24

SORRY TO INFORM YOU TITHING TEACHERS; YOUR TITHING GAME IS OVER, your cash cow has run off, your days of lying to your followers and stealing money from them ARE OVER.

You are described perfectly by the Apostle Peter...

"But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. And through covetousness (LUST AFTER MONEY AND MATERIAL THINGS) shall they with feigned words (WORDS OF DECEPTION) make merchandise (A SOURCE OF MONEY) of you: whose judgment (THEIR EVIL EXPOSED AND JUDGED BY GOD) now of a long time lingereth not (WILL BE RIGHT ON TIME), and their damnation (BEING SENT TO HELL) slumbereth not." - 2 Peter 2:1-3

>> We are warned to stay away from people who Peter is describing; Paul wrote this...

STAY AWAY FROM TITHING TEACHERS...

"Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain (MONEY) is godliness: from such withdraw thyself." - 1 Timothy 6:5

HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH TITHING TEACHERS, EXPOSE THEM WITH THE LIGHT OF GOD'S WORD...

"Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them." - Ephesians 5:11

TITHERS...be free from tithing!

A REQUIREMENT TO TITHE?

A REQUIREMENT TO TITHE... 1. Does not continue into the New Testament. 2. Is not recorded as being practiced in the New Testament. 3. Is not...
