Is the Law (the Law of Moses, the Torah) still valid today, still enforce? Are Christian under it, obligated to obey it? Did Jesus fulfill all of the Law on the cross?
A Concise Answer...
ONE - Jesus said the Law of Moses would continue as long as our current heaven and earth was in existence (there is a new heaven and earth coming - "And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea." - Revelation 21:1)...
"For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled." - Matthew 5:18
Matthew 5:18 tells us that it will take the entire time this earth shall be in existence from when Jesus stated Matthew 5:18 to fulfill The Law of Moses. The Law of Moses will be fulfilled and then, not before, heaven and earth shall pass away. What has yet to be fulfilled in the Law?...The Law contains prophecy yet to be completely fulfilled such as this in Deuteronomy...
"And it shall come to pass, when all these things are come upon thee, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before thee, and thou shalt call them to mind among all the nations, whither the LORD thy God hath driven thee, And shalt return unto the LORD thy God, and shalt obey his voice according to all that I command thee this day, thou and thy children, with all thine heart, and with all thy soul; That then the LORD thy God will turn thy captivity, and have compassion upon thee, and will return and gather thee from all the nations, whither the LORD thy God hath scattered thee." - Deuteronomy 30:1-3
Some prophecy teachers claim that Deuteronomy 30:1-3 was fulfilled in 1948 when Israel became a nation; so are we to conclude that the Law of Moses ended in 1948? No; heaven and earth did not pass away in 1948, the Law of Moses has also not yet passed away.
Again, Jesus said...
“Think not that I came to destroy the law or the prophets; I came not to destroy, but to fulfill. For verily I say unto you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass away from the law, till all things be accomplished” - Matthew 5:17-18
Note: "all things be accomplished" ...all things required in the Law of Moses have not yet been accomplished.
TWO - Because the Law has not ended, not yet passed away, does not mean we, the Church, Christians, are under the Law. We are not. Whether or not the Law is still in effect or not, fulfilled or not, passed away or not, weak, unprofitable or not (Hebrews 7:18:19), IT DOESN'T MATTER; for our purposes as Christians living eternally under the the New Testament, the Word of God makes it VERY CLEAR; WE ARE NOT UNDER THE LAW, not under it no matter what condition the Law is currently in. Even if the Law of Moses was still 100% compulsory, obligatory, mandatory for someone; WE ARE NOT UNDER IT...
"For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth." - Romans 10:4
"For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace." - Romans 6:14
"But now we are DELIVERED FROM THE LAW, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter." - Romans 7:6
"Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster." - Galatians 3:24-25
"Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, Ye must be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave NO such commandment:" - Acts 15:24
As one Biblical commentator, Wayne Jackson, has pointed out...
"We may confidently affirm that Christ did not here [Matthew 5:18] suggest that the binding nature of the law of Moses would remain perpetually obligatory."
THREE - The Law of Moses was given to the Nation of Israel, it was not given to anyone else, including the New Testament church.
"He sheweth his word unto Jacob, his statutes and his judgments unto Israel. He hath not dealt so with any nation: and as for his judgments, they have not known them. Praise ye the Lord." - Psalm 147:19-20
FOUR - Anyone deciding and determining to live under the Law of Moses must do so perfectly or be cursed...
"For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them." - Galatians 3:10
"For whosoever shall keep the whole law and yet offend on one point, he is guilty of all." - James 2:10
"Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing. For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law." - Galatians 5:2-3
FIVE - The Law of Moses, in this case, The Ten Commandments, is a "ministry of death" Jesus redeemed us from...
"And we have such trust through Christ toward God. Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God, who also made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.
But if the ministry of death, written and engraved on stones [THE TEN COMMANDMENTS], was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of the glory of his countenance, which glory was passing away, how will the ministry of the Spirit not be more glorious? For if the ministry of condemnation had glory, the ministry of righteousness exceeds much more in glory. For even what was made glorious had no glory in this respect, because of the glory that excels. For if what is passing away was glorious, what remains is much more glorious." - 2 Corinthians 3:4-11
** NOTE: The Ten Commandments, also known as Aseret HaDibrot (“Ten Sayings” in Hebrew) or "Decalogue," are the first ten of the 613 commandments given by God to the Jewish people. These commandments are restated twice in the Torah (the Law of Moses); once in Exodus (20: 1-17) and again in Deuteronomy (5:4-21). They are also restated in Leviticus 19 and elaborated on. THEREFORE; the Ten Commandments were made part of, merged with, consolidated with, and integrated into the The Law of Moses. There can be no doubt of that. They are NOT separate.
CONCLUSION; I hope this has cleared up the confusion that many Christians have concerning the Law and Jesus' comments on the Law.

One of the most consistent falsehoods in churches today is that you are obligated to "pay tithes." There are no such instructions anywhere in God's Word. The purpose of this Blog is to examine false doctrines in today's teachings on tithing. Anyone claiming that a Christian must tithe is teaching a falsehood. "These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so." - Acts 17:11
