NO APOSTLE

NO APOSTLE

In the New Covenant, no Apostle ever taught tithing, asked for a tithe, rebuked any person or church for not tithing, or received a tithe for themselves. Not one of them. The early church (i.e. Book of Acts) NEVER tithed. We have NO record of them doing so, not a single verse stating that tithing was practiced in the early church.

In the New Covenant there are no examples of anyone paying a tithe to anyone in any way shape or form. Matthew 23:23 takes place at a time under the Old Covenant, was a matter of the law of Moses, and does not instruct a Christian to tithe.

If based on the New Covenant, that Christians should be tithing, tithing instructions would be clearly included in the New Covenant for us to follow. There are no such instructions. We cannot tithe based on the Old Covenant because all tithing God had commanded in the Old Covenant was based on the Law of Moses, we are not under the Law of Moses. For Christians under the New Covenant, no such tithing instructions, terms, conditions or details are outlined anywhere in the New Covenant for us to follow; they simply do not exist.

Tithing has NOTHING to do with Christians or Biblical Christianity as a practice. Anyone claiming that a Christian must or should practice tithing, evening claiming that tithing "is not exactly commanded, but you should still be tithing," is teaching a false doctrine, is a false teacher and is lying.

A PRINCIPLE

If there exists a "universal principle of tithing" for all to follow it would have to be based on scripture, yet there exists no scripture that includes New Testament Christians with any command to tithe anything to anyone, therefore there is no "universal tithing principle" for New Testament Christians to follow.

HEBREWS CHAPTER SEVEN

What is DISANNULLED? What is WEAK? What is UNPROFITABLE? These three...

1. The Levitical Priesthood (which could bring perfection [salvation] TO NO ONE, Hebrews 7:11).

2. The Law of Moses relative to New Testament Christians who are NOT UNDER THE LAW (Romans 6:14, Acts 15:24).

3. Tithing, which is of the law of Moses (Hebrews 7:5, Numbers 18:21-24, Matthew 23:23).

In Hebrews Chapter Seven tithing is mentioned 7 times, verses number; 2, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 and 9 again, focusing CLEARLY ON TITHING, and while proving the superiority of Christ's priesthood, ALSO places tithing (along with the rest of the law of Moses) in a position of INFERIORITY and declares it all...

ALL THREE ARE WEAK, ALL THREE ARE UNPROFITABLE, AND ALL THREE ARE DISANNULLED (CANCELED)...INCLUDING TITHING.

"For there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof." - Hebrews 7:18

GIVING

Christians are called by God to be free will givers, mostly to the poor and needy, not to greedy so called "pastors" demanding in their pulpit rants that we give them ten percent of our incomes.

"Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver." - 2 Corinthians 9:7

Notice; "according as he purposeth in HIS HEART" ...not forced to give by legalistic demands and threats from the pulpit.

A REQUIREMENT TO TITHE?

A REQUIREMENT TO TITHE... 1. Does not continue into the New Testament. 2. Is not recorded as being practiced in the New Testament. 3. Is not...
