The tithe requirement was on the NATION of Israel under the Law of Moses, NEVER on the New Testament Christian.
God has never referred to any individual as a "tither."
Under the Law of Moses, where God commanded tithing, there was no such individual as a "tither;" (not to mention, nowhere else in the Bible).
The tithe requirement was on the nation of Israel, the NATION was to leave the tithe of fruits, vegetables and clean animals for the Levites accompanied by a priest descended from Aaron to take possession of it and collect it. The tithe was to come from the NATION, from the Land of Israel.
Surrendering the tithes, the Levite's property, to the Levites, was a NATIONAL REQUIREMENT placed on Israel, not an individual requirement placed on anyone, New or Old Testament.
God's commanded tithe was limited to fruits, vegetables and clean animals from the Promised Land of Israel, from nowhere else, from nothing else...
