A FAMILY BLESSING STOLEN
God gave tithes to THE FAMILY, yet constantly stolen by deceptive tithing teachers.
>> If the tithe was in the form of fruits, vegetables and clean animals (agricultural products), it was given to the family in possession of the tithe and was to be consumed by the family...
Deuteronomy 14:22-23 - "Thou shalt truly tithe all the increase of thy seed, that the field bringeth forth year by year. And thou shalt eat before the LORD thy God, in the place which he shall choose to place his name there, the tithe of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the firstlings of thy herds and of thy flocks; that thou mayest learn to fear the LORD thy God always."
>> If the tithe in possession of the family was converted (sold) for money, the money is to be spent on family and not used to tithe with;
Deuteronomy 14:24-26 - "And if the way be too long for thee, so that thou art not able to carry it; or if the place be too far from thee, which the LORD thy God shall choose to set his name there, when the LORD thy God hath blessed thee: Then shalt thou turn it into money, and bind up the money in thine hand, and shalt go unto the place which the LORD thy God shall choose: And thou shalt bestow that money for whatsoever thy soul lusteth after, for oxen, or for sheep, or for wine, or for strong drink, or for whatsoever thy soul desireth: and thou shalt eat there before the LORD thy God, and thou shalt rejoice, thou, and thine household..."
>> Key Points;
1. The tithe was given to the family in possession of the tithe; Deuteronomy 14:22-23.
2. The tithe is to be consumed by the family; Deuteronomy 14:22-23.
3. If the tithe was converted to money, it is to be bound to hand of the person who sold the tithe, and not used as a "tithe," and not given to anyone; Deuteronomy 14:25.
4. The money is commanded to be used to buy food and other items for the family; Deuteronomy 14:26.
5. If a Levite, a blood descendant of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob "is within thy gates," some people believe that which is bought for the family -- "And thou shalt bestow that money for whatsoever thy soul lusteth after, for oxen, or for sheep, or for wine, or for strong drink, or for whatsoever thy soul desireth: and thou shalt eat there before the LORD thy God, and thou shalt rejoice, thou, and thine household" -- is to be shared with the Levite; Deuteronomy 14:27. Though many Bible students believe that Deuteronomy 14:27 is connected to Deuteronomy 14:28-29 because of the of the phares "for he hath no part nor inheritance with thee" in Deuteronomy 14:27 and "because he hath no part nor inheritance with thee" in Deuteronomy 14:29, which refers to the Year of Tithing (every three years, not every week)...
Deuteronomy 14:28 - "At the end of three years thou shalt bring forth all the tithe of thine increase the same year, and shalt lay it up within thy gates:"
6. That particular tithe was to be used to support the "the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, which are within thy gates"...
Deuteronomy 14:29 - "And the Levite, (because he hath no part nor inheritance with thee,) and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, which are within thy gates, shall come, and shall eat and be satisfied; that the LORD thy God may bless thee in all the work of thine hand which thou doest."
CONCLUSION
Sadly, many people who have been deceived by false tithing teachers are not aware of the facts of Deuteronomy 14:22-29 which clearly states that the tithe converted to, or in the form of money, is NOT to be used to pay a "money tithe" to any person or ministry. The money is to be bound to your hand (Deuteronomy 14:25) and spent to bless your family.
If you are going to "tithe," read Deuteronomy 14:22-29 CLOSELY.
Tithing teachers who do not properly teach tithing based on Deuteronomy 14:22-29 are FALSE TEACHERS AND LIARS;
Romans 16:18 - "For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple."
2 Peter 2:3 "And through covetousness shall they with feigned words [false teaching] make merchandise [source of money] of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not."
In reality, the New Testament is VOID of any component or doctrine supporting any form of monetary tithing from personal income, or any command to tithe anything to anyone;
Hebrews 7:18 - "For there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof."
