PASTOR-LEVITES TAKING TITHES? IS THERE A "PASTOR-LEVITE" ESTABLISHED IN THE NEW TESTAMENT?

> 1. The New Testament does not establish a special order or priesthood of "pastor-levites." In fact...

> 2. We are all a kingdom of priests, and do not need a special "pastor-levite;"

1 Peter 2:9 - "But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:"

> 3. Even if a pastor could claim to be a "New Testament pastor-levite," he would be required to be in the presence of a priest descended from Aaron to collect tithes, as clearly stated here;

Nehemiah 10:38 - "And the priest the son of Aaron shall be with the Levites, when the Levites take tithes: and the Levites shall bring up the tithe of the tithes unto the house of our God, to the chambers, into the treasure house."

> 4. As a "pastor-levite" he would be required to collect his tithes on the Promise Land (Israel) from only the People of Israel;

Hebrews 7:5 - "And verily they that are of the sons of Levi, who receive the office of the priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brethren, though they come out of the loins of Abraham:"

Additionally, the tithe of God must be collected on the Promise Land...

Deuteronomy 12:10-11 - "But when ye go over Jordan, and dwell in the land which the LORD your God giveth you to inherit, and when he giveth you rest from all your enemies round about, so that ye dwell in safety; Then there shall be a place which the LORD your God shall choose to cause his name to dwell there; thither shall ye bring all that I command you; your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, YOUR TITHES, and the heave offering of your hand, and all your choice vows which ye vow unto the LORD:"

The land where tithes were to be taken was the Land of Israel, no other land has been designated by God as a location where tithes are to be taken;

Leviticus 27:30 - "And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land, or of the fruit of the tree, is the LORD'S: it is holy unto the LORD."

> 5. No, the so-called "pastor-levite" cannot claim to have Jesus with them as the priest who fulfills the requirement of a priest being present when tithes are collected because Jesus is not a priest after/or descended from the priesthood of Aaron. Jesus is a priest after the Order of Melchizedek, the order of Melchizedek was never been commanded to be with Levites or "pastor-levites" when they take tithes.

Psalms 110:4 - "The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek."

Hebrews 5:6 - "As he saith also in another place, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedek."

Hebrews 7:14 - "For it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Juda; of which tribe Moses spake nothing concerning priesthood."

Hebrews 7:11 - "If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedek, and not be called after the order of Aaron?"

> 6. The Levite priesthood is defunct and has not been continued into the New Testament;

Hebrews 7:11 - "If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedek, and not be called after the order of Aaron?"

> 7. Any pastor claiming to be a "pastor-levite" is claiming to be so with no such office established in the New Testament and has in effect separated himself from grace of God by claiming to be a Levite which was only established under the Law of Moses;

Galatians 5:3-4 - "For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law. Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace."

Romans 11:6 - "And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work."

>> CONCLUSION; there is no office or "pastor-levite" found, or established anywhere in the New Testament, and none who has the authority to collect tithes from anyone for any reason as a pastor or pastor-levite. The Levite Priesthood was established under the Law of Moses. The Apostle stated it clearly that Law was not commanded under the New Testament;

Acts 15:24 - "Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, Ye must be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave NO such commandment:"

The Levite priesthood is dead;

Hebrews 7:8 - "And here men that DIE receive tithes; but there he receiveth them, of whom it is witnessed that he liveth."

Note; "receiveth them" is added by KJV translators, and is not found in the original Greek text. Yet, what did Melchisedek receive? Answer; Tithes from the Levites through Abraham (Hebrews 7:9 - "And as I may so say, Levi also, who receiveth tithes, payed tithes in Abraham."), not tithes paid to an unbiblical so-called "pastor-levite." The tithes were paid to Melchisedek, NOT TO A PASTOR.

If tithing teachers were authorized to receive tithes based on the idea of Melchisedec receiving a tithe as a New Testament Priest, we are ALL NEW TESTAMENT PRIESTS ... Revelation 1:6 - "And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen." ...and therefore we should all be tithing to each other! So, next time your tithing teacher asks for tithes, ask him when he is going to pay tithes to you! ... 1 Peter 2:9 - "But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:"

THE NEW TESTAMENT AND TITHING

In the New Testament, the Covenant that Christians are under...

1. There are no guidelines for "Christian tithing" or "New Covenant tithing."

2. There is no record of early Christians paying any form of a tithe to anyone, or that a Christian was instructed to "bring any tithe to any storehouse," or that a New Testament fellowship is a "storehouse to be tithed to."

3. No Apostle commanded or instructed tithing, received a tithe, rebuked any Christians or Church for not tithing or referred to anyone as a routine "tither." The Old or New Testament records no time or place where God has taken the tithe from the Levites and given it to any New Testament church, pastor, minister and anyone else.

4. The first Church Council, held in Jerusalem in 50AD, did not conclude or instruct that anyone had to tithe anything, and did not refer to any form of "New Testament tithing." Additionally; Hebrews 7:8 instructs no New Testament Christian to tithe, and Hebrews 7:18 clearly puts an end to, and cancels tithing for anyone under the New Testament.

5. The New Testament makes no reference to Abraham's tithe to Melchisedec as being an example to follow.

6. The New Testament records Abraham tithing only once to Melchisedec, and not to any church, pastor, or any other ministry or person in the Old or New Testament.

7. The New Testament makes no mention of any curses for not tithing, or any blessings or advantages resulting from tithing. The New Testament does not include Malachi 3:10 as a command for Christians to tithe.

8. The New Testament makes no changes to what the Old Testament clearly states the tithe was to consist of; namely fruits, vegetables and clean livestock from the Promise Land. The Bible, New or Old Testament does not command the paying of monetary tithes from anywhere including from one's income.

9. The New Testament does not conclude that ministers, teachers, pastors, churches should instruct Christians to tithe, or that "tithe challenges" are appropriate Church activities.

10. The Gospels, or any other Book in the New Testament does not record Jesus or His Disciples tithing, or referring to any future requirement of His Disciples to tithe under a New Covenant.

11. The New Testament does not state that anyone has to tithe to be saved, or that you maintain a covenant with God by tithing, or that the devourer will be rebuked for a Christian's sake by tithing.

12. The New Testament does not refer to Jacob as an example of tithing to be followed; the Bible, New or Old Testament records no incident of Jacob tithing, or Adam tithing or Abel tithing, or any tithing before the flood.

CONCLUSION; the New Testament does not instruct Christians to tithe anything to anyone. There exists no command in the New Testament directed toward Christians to tithe.

THE FACTS ABOUT DECEPTIVE TITHING TEACHERS

THE FACTS ABOUT DECEPTIVE TITHING TEACHERS...

> They falsely claim that ten percent of your income belongs to them or their organization which they deceptively call "a storehouse to tithe to." The Bible says the authentic tithes belong to the Levites (see; Numbers 18:20-24, Hebrews 7:5) and has never been taken back, or given to any New Testament church or ministry.

> They terrorize Christians and entire households by claiming that without tithing the Christian will be cursed and forfeit blessings (see; Acts 15:24, Titus 1:10-11).

> They lie to Christians claiming that tithing brings blessings, yet the Bible says such blessings only came from obeying ALL the Law of Moses, not merely obeying Malachi 3:10 alone (see; Deuteronomy 27:26, James 2:10, Galatians 5:3).

> They accuse non-tithing Christians of robbing God, when in reality they are the ones robbing Christians and robbing God (see; 2 Peter 2:3).

> They deceptively claim that their tithers are "tithing to God," yet they take the "tithe money" for themselves (see; Romans 16:18).

> They claim their church or organization is a storehouse to be tithed to, yet the Bible makes no such statement of any New Testament church described as "a storehouse to be tithed to." The storehouse is only described as a storage facility attached to the Temple in Jerusalem and the Levite Cities in Israel, never in any other country or location (see; Nehemiah 10:37-39).

> They claim that God's tithe was money (monetary), when in fact money from personal income was never tithed on, a "tithe" in the form of money was commanded to be spent on your family, and no scripture describes the Biblical tithe ever taken as "money from income" (see; Deuteronomy 14:24-27).

> Tithing teachers employ shaming, threats, false doctrine, claims that tithing brings in financial gain, misleading and emotional appeals to "bring in the tithe" deceiving guilting people into tithing (see; Acts 15:24, Titus 1:10-11, Hebrews 5:12-14).

> Tithing teachers claim that without tithing the devourer will not be rebuked for your sake, when in fact Colossians says it already was rebuked by Jesus on the Cross without a need for New Testament Believers tithing to anyone (see; Colossians 2:15).

> Tithing teachers claim Malachi 3:10 is a command to hand over ten percent of your income to them; fact - Malachi 3:10 was written to the Nation of Israel under the Law of Moses (see; Malachi 1:1, 2:1, 3:7, 4:4), the New Testament Church is not the Nation of Israel and not under the Law of Moses (see; Acts 15:24, Romans 6:4, Hebrews 7:18, Galatians 3:10), and has no command to tithe anything to anyone. Additionally; Malachi 3:10 must only be acted on based on and by instructions of the Law of Moses, ergo; God's ordinances (see; Malachi 3:7).

> They claim you are to tithe money; the Bible says "tithes" in the form of money are NOT to be used to pay a tithe (bound to your hand), and ARE to be spent on your family (see; Deuteronomy 14:24-27).

> They claim you are to tithe because Abraham tithed; the Bible makes no such command to either the Nation of Israel or to the New Testament Church. Abraham is never cited in the Bible as an example of tithing to be followed, not to the Nation of Israel or to the New Testament church.

> They claim you are to tithe because Jacob tithed; the Bible makes no such command to either the Nation of Israel or to the New Testament Church, and records no time in which Jacob tithed anything to anyone. > They claim that the Apostles instructed tithing to the New Testament Church, yet In the New Testament no Apostle ever instructed tithing, asked for a tithe, rebuked any person or church for not tithing, or received a tithe. Not one of them. The early church seen in the Book of Acts NEVER tithed. We have NO record of them doing so. In fact, The Book of Acts records this...

"Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, Ye must be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave NO such commandment:" - Acts 15:24

HAD ENOUGH OF THE EVIL LIES OF TITHING TEACHERS YET?

Need any further lies to understand how deceptive they are? There are plenty more.

HEBREWS 7:8 BREAK DOWN; SCRIPTURE INTERPRETING SCRIPTURE

Hebrews 7:8 break down; scripture interpreting scripture..

"And here men that die receive tithes" Stated here >>>

Hebrews 7:5 - "And verily they that are of the sons of Levi, who receive the office of the priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brethren, though they come out of the loins of Abraham:"

"but there he receiveth them," Stated here >>>

Hebrews 7:4 - "Now consider how great this man was, unto whom even the patriarch Abraham gave the tenth of the spoils."

"of whom it is witnessed that he liveth." Stated here >>>

Hebrews 7:16 - "Who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life."

Continuing...

Hebrews 7:8 says here men [Levites] who die receive tithes [Hebrews 7:5], and he [Melchisedec] lives [forever, Hebrews 7:16] . ("receiveth them" added by KJV translators.)

Sorry, there is no command to hand over ten percent of your income to anyone for any reason commanded in Hebrews 7:8. Only liars claim it does.

Even if it was, it would be an example of tithes paid to Levites and to Melchisedec. New Testament ministers are neither Levites or Melchisedec with any authority to collect tithes from anyone.

WHAT TITHING TEACHERS WILL NEVER TELL YOU

WHAT TITHING TEACHERS WILL NEVER TELL YOU

>> If you do this...

Malachi 3:10 - "Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it."

>> Then you are also bound by this...

Deuteronomy 27:26 - "Cursed be he that confirmeth not all the words of this law to do them. And all the people shall say, Amen."

And this...

James 2:10 - "For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all."

And this...

Galatians 5:3 - "For I testify again to every man that is circumcised [i.e., keeping the Law of Moses], that he is a debtor to do the whole law."

>> Because of this...

Malachi 3:7 - "Even from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from mine ordinances [the Law of Moses], and have not kept them. Return unto me, and I will return unto you, saith the LORD of hosts. But ye said, Wherein shall we return?"

Malachi 4:4 - "Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments."

>> Why? Because Malachi 3:10 was written pursuant to, based on, and under the authority of the Law of Moses. Malachi 3:10, bringing tithes to the storehouse, originates from the Law of Moses;

Numbers 18:26 - "Thus speak unto the Levites, and say unto them, When ye take of the children of Israel the tithes which I have given you from them for your inheritance, then ye shall offer up an heave offering of it for the LORD, even a tenth part of the tithe."

Which is explained (expanded) in detail here...

Nehemiah 10:38 - "And the priest the son of Aaron shall be with the Levites, when the Levites take tithes: and the Levites shall bring up the tithe of the tithes unto the house of our God, to the chambers, into the treasure house."

To tithe based on Malachi 3:10 places a person under the Law of Moses and therefore subject to the results of not obeying the whole Law of Moses.

>> And; if you are tithing money, if your tithe consists of money, you are in violation of God's word that states the following...

Deuteronomy 14:22-27 - "Thou shalt truly tithe all the increase of thy seed, that the field bringeth forth year by year. And thou shalt eat before the LORD thy God, in the place which he shall choose to place his name there, the tithe of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the firstlings of thy herds and of thy flocks; that thou mayest learn to fear the LORD thy God always. And if the way be too long for thee, so that thou art not able to carry it; or if the place be too far from thee, which the LORD thy God shall choose to set his name there, when the LORD thy God hath blessed thee: Then shalt thou turn it into money, and bind up the money in thine hand, and shalt go unto the place which the LORD thy God shall choose: And thou shalt bestow that money for whatsoever thy soul lusteth after, for oxen, or for sheep, or for wine, or for strong drink, or for whatsoever thy soul desireth: and thou shalt eat there before the LORD thy God, and thou shalt rejoice, thou, and thine household, And the Levite that is within thy gates; thou shalt not forsake him; for he hath no part nor inheritance with thee."

...consume the tithe yourself, or sell the tithe for money, bind the money to your hand, DO NOT USE IT TO PAY A TITHE; money must be spent on you and your family, part of your purchases shared with a Levite within your gates.

>> Additionally;

Malachi was written to the Nation of Israel under the Law of Moses; the church is NOT Israel and the church is NOT under the Law of Moses. See; Malachi 3:7, Malachi 4:4, Hebrews 7:5, AND; Acts 15:24 - "Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, Ye must be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave NO such commandment:"

Romans 6:14-15 - "For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid."

WHO WAS MALACHI 3:10 WRITTEN TO?

> This is who...

1. The Nation of Israel and corrupt priests. - Malachi 1:1, Malachi 1:6

2. The Priests of Israel. - Malachi 2:1

3. Priests who are cursed. - Malachi 2:2

4. Priests who have departed out of the way of the Lord. - Malachi 2:8

5. Priests who do not glorify God. - Malachi 2:2

6. Priests who's blessings are cursed. - Malachi 2:3

7. Priests who's seed is corrupt. - Malachi 2:3

8. Priests who will be shamed with dung on their faces. - Malachi 2:3

9. Priests under judgment. - Malachi 3:5

10. Sorcerers. - Malachi 3:5

11. Adulterers. - Malachi 3:5

12. Oppressors of working people.  - Malachi 3:5

13. False swearers. - Malachi 3:5

14. Priests who oppress widows. - Malachi 3:5

15. Priests who oppress orphaned children. - Malachi 3:5

16. Priests who refuse to help a stranger in need. - Malachi 3:5

17. Priests who have no fear of God. - Malachi 3:5

18. Priests who are stealing the tithe of the tithe from God. - Malachi 3:8, Nehemiah 10:38, Nehemiah Chapter 13

19. Priests who are wicked. - Malachi 3:15

20. Priests who are under the Law of Moses - Malachi 4:4

Malachi 3:10 WAS NOT WRITTEN TO THE NEW TESTAMENT CHURCH.

If Malachi 3:10 was for the New Testament church it would be found in the New Testament. It's found NOWHERE in the New Testament.

He Forgot Malachi 3:7

Malachi 3:7 clearly states that Malachi 3:10 must be performed and carried out according to the Law of Moses ("mine ordinances"), which tells us that money is NOT to be used for tithing, and if your tithe is in the form of money, it must be spent on your family and given to NO ONE ("bind up the money in thine hand" - Deuteronomy 14:25)...

In the Law of Moses, in Deuteronomy 14:26-27 it states "And thou shalt bestow that money for whatsoever thy soul lusteth after, for oxen, or for sheep, or for wine, or for strong drink, or for whatsoever thy soul desireth: and thou shalt eat there before the LORD thy God, and thou shalt rejoice, thou, and thine household, And the Levite that is within thy gates; thou shalt not forsake him; for he hath no part nor inheritance with thee."

Additionally; only ONE TENTH of the tithe was to be brought to the storehouse, which was in Jerusalem, NOT to a New Testament church...

Nehemiah 10:38 - "And the priest the son of Aaron shall be with the Levites, when the Levites take tithes: and the Levites shall bring up the tithe of the tithes unto the house of our God, to the chambers, into the treasure house."

2. Is not recorded as being practiced in the New Testament.

3. Is not a condition or doctrine of the New Testament.

4. Has been ended by the New Testament; Hebrews 7:18.

A REQUIREMENT TO TITHE MONEY FROM INCOME...

1. Does not continue into the New Testament from the Old Testament.

2. Is not recorded as being practiced in the Old or New Testaments.

3. Is not a condition or doctrine of the Old or New Testaments.

4. Is refuted and disproved in Deuteronomy 14:24-26.

BELIEVE WE ARE WRONG?... prove your claim with scripture, otherwise we don't have time for your false doctrines and deceptions. Send your proof to tithingstudyonline@gmail.com and read Acts 17:11.

THE FOUNDATION OF THE CHURCH

THE FOUNDATION OF THE CHURCH; does it include tithing?

The Bible tells us that the church is built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets;

Ephesians 2:19-20 - "Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;"

If tithing was part of that foundation of the New Testament church the apostles and prophets would have made that very clear in the Holy Spirit inspired scriptures that they wrote. In fact In the New Testament no Apostle ever instructed tithing, asked for a tithe, rebuked any person or church for not tithing, or received a tithe.

Tithing teachers often claim that "tithing was practiced before the law."

Whether or not tithing was practiced before the law, after the law it still remains CANCELED, DISANNULLED, ENDED. How does tithing, practiced before the law (the Law of Moses), prove that tithing is to be practiced after the law? It clearly does not. No scripture states that any New Testament Christian must tithe because Abraham did.

NOWHERE does the Bible, the Word of God instruct anyone to tithe because Jacob said he would tithe, or because Abraham tithed; such a command DOES NOT exist in God's Word. Hebrews 7:18 tells us; "For there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof."

No further tithing after Hebrews 7:18; Tithing is void, canceled, finished, weak, unprofitable, ended, disannulled, not required, AND IS NOT PART OF THE FOUNDATION OF THE NEW TESTAMENT CHURCH. The teaching of "New Testament tithing" of any kind is false doctrine.

Malachi 3:10; WRITTEN TO WHO?

Malachi 3:10; WRITTEN TO WHO?

Malachi 3:10; not written to the New Testament church, not commanding New Testament tithing, not commanding the tithing of money to anyone.

>> Written to...

1. To Israel - Malachi 1:1 - "The burden of the word of the LORD to Israel by Malachi."

2. To the corrupt priests of Israel - Malachi 1:6 - "A son honoureth his father, and a servant his master: if then I be a father, where is mine honour? and if I be a master, where is my fear? saith the LORD of hosts unto you, O priests, that despise my name. And ye say, Wherein have we despised thy name?"

3. To the corrupt priests of Israel - Malachi 2:1 - "And now, O ye priests, this commandment is for you."

4. To the biological sons of Jacob - Malachi 3:6 - "For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed."

5. To the Nation of Israel under the Law of Moses, God's ordinances from the Law of Moses - Malachi 3:7 - "Even from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from mine ordinances, and have not kept them. Return unto me, and I will return unto you, saith the LORD of hosts. But ye said, Wherein shall we return?"

6. To the Nation of Israel under the Law of Moses - Malachi 4:4 - "Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments."

7. To a nation, to Israel, who Elijah the Prophet came from - Malachi 4:5 - "Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD:"

Not one word in the Book of Malachi supports any claim that Malachi 3:10 is instructing a Christian to hand over ten percent of their income to any church, minister or ministry. Tithing teachers who claim that it is are taking scripture out of context, out of audience context, and teaching false misleading doctrine and promoting deception.

No Christian can biblically fulfill Malachi 3:10 because it must be done under, and pursuant to the Law of Moses or it is done in sin; see Malachi 3:7 ("mine ordinances"), and 1 John 3:4 - "Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law."

>> Christians are not under the Law of Moses;

"For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth." - Romans 10:4

"For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace." - Romans 6:14

"But now we are DELIVERED FROM THE LAW, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter." - Romans 7:6

"Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster." - Galatians 3:24-25

"Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, Ye must be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave NO such commandment:" - Acts 15:24

BEST QUESTION TO ASK A TITHING TEACHER

BEST QUESTION TO ASK A TITHING TEACHER...

"Where does the Bible instruct a New Testament Christian to turn over ten percent of their money income to a church, minister or other ministry? Please provide Biblical chapter and verse."

They will not be able to provide any valid chapter or verse simply because there are none.

Case in point;

If they answer "Malachi 3:10;" FACT; Malachi 3:10 was written to the Nation of Israel under the Law of Moses, and can ONLY be obeyed under the Law of Moses; (see; Malachi 3:7, Malachi 4:4). The New Testament church is not the Nation of Israel, is not under the Law of Moses (see; Romans 6:14, Acts 15:24, Romans 7:6, Galatians 3:10-12) and has no command to tithe anything to anyone.

Also, Malachi 3:10, along with all commands to tithe, has been clearly canceled by Hebrews 7:18 being weak and without profit;

Hebrews 7:18 - "For there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof."

THE BIBLICAL TITHE MODEL

THE BIBLICAL TITHE MODEL

The model for Biblical tithing is revealed in 37 verses in the Bible. If you read and study each verse closely without any preconceived ideas or the traditions of men as to what Biblical tithing actually was, without adding anything to the scriptures, the obvious comes to light. What is clear and obvious? That not one of those scriptures include the following;

The 37 verses do NOT include, do NOT command...

1. The tithing of money from income (monetary tithing).

2. Tithing anywhere other than on the Promise Land of Israel.

3. A command to the New Testament church to tithe anything to anyone, including a church, a ministry or minister.

4. A 90-day tithe challenge.

5. Curses or loss of blessings for a New Testament Believer who does not tithe.

6. A command to the New Testament church to "continue tithing." -- (Note; tithing, which is declared canceled, weak and without profit; Hebrews 7:18.)

7. A New Testament church as a "storehouse to be tithed to."

8. A command to tithe directed at persons other than the Children of Israel who are farmers or ranchers.

9. Tithing described as a form of giving.

If your tithing beliefs, or model include any of the above 9 points, your tithing model does not come from God's word, is false doctrine and deception, and you are deceived. Not a single one of those 37 verses confirm any type of "New Testament tithing."

Take heed and learn...

Deuteronomy 4:2 - "Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you."

Psalm 119:105 - "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path."

2 Timothy 3:16-17 - "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works."

Acts 17:11 - "These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so."

Ref; The 37 verses;

Genesis 14:20, Genesis 28:22, Leviticus 27:30, Leviticus 27:31, Leviticus 27:32, Numbers 18:24, Numbers 18:26, Numbers 18:28, Deuteronomy 12:6, Deuteronomy 12:11, Deuteronomy 12:17, Deuteronomy 14:22, Deuteronomy 14:23, Deuteronomy 14:28, Deuteronomy 26:12, 1 Samuel 8:15, 1 Samuel 8:17, 2 Chronicles 31:5, 2 Chronicles 31:6, 2 Chronicles 31:12, Nehemiah 10:37, Nehemiah 10:38, Nehemiah 12:44, Nehemiah 13:5, Nehemiah 13:12, Amos 4:4, Malachi 3:7, Malachi 3:8, Matthew 23:23, Luke 11:42, Luke 18:12, Hebrews 7:2, Hebrews 7:4, Hebrews 7:5, Hebrews 7:6, Hebrews 7:8, Hebrews 7:9.

Ref; Agricultural items only;

Detailed scriptural facts that over 30 times in 17 verses in the Bible the tithe is mandated and described as limited to agricultural items only. See; Lev. 27:30, 32, Num. 18:27, Num. 18:28, Deut. 12:17, Deut. 14:22, Deut. 14:23, Deut. 24:21, Deut. 26:12, 2 Chron. 31:5, 2 Chron. 31:6, Neh. 10:37, Neh. 13:5, Mal. 3:10, Matt. 23:23, Luke 11:42.

TITHING; A SYSTEM OF DEATH TO BE CONTINUED?

TITHING; A SYSTEM OF DEATH TO BE CONTINUED?

It's interesting to note that God placed the receiving of tithes juxtaposition to death in Hebrews 7:8...

"And here men that die receive tithes; but there he, of whom it is witnessed that he liveth."

Note; "receiveth them" was added by King James Version translators and is not found in the original Greek text, therefore I quoted Hebrews 7:8 without it.

Receiving of tithes is a way of saying "here men die being under the Law of Moses," (see Hebrews 7:5) just as Paul used circumcision to indicate being under the Law...

Romans 2:25-26 - "For circumcision verily profiteth, if thou keep the law: but if thou be a breaker of the law, thy circumcision is made uncircumcision. Therefore if the uncircumcision keep the righteousness of the law, shall not his uncircumcision be counted for circumcision?"

Also, seen in the Book of Acts...

Acts 15:24 - "Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, Ye must be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave no such commandment:"

What is Hebrews 7:8 telling us? This;

The Law of Moses established the Levite priesthood which is of the Law of carnal command (see Hebrews 7:11) ending in death, as contrasted to the priesthood of Melchisedec made after the power of endless life...

Hebrews 7:15-16 - "And it is yet far more evident: for that after the similitude of Melchisedec there ariseth another priest, Who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life."

Hebrews 7:8 has nothing to do with Melchisedec or Jesus still receiving tithes as false tithing teachers often claim. If Hebrews 7:8 was referring to a continuation of tithing it would be a continuation of a system of death.

If you will notice, Hebrews 7:8 does not say "here men that LIVE receive tithes," it says "here men that DIE receive tithes" strongly indicating that receiving tithes is part of a system of death referred to here;

Hebrews 7:18-19 - "For there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof. For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God."

Hebrews 7:18 tells us that tithing, a system of death, is disannulled (canceled) being weak and without profit.

Why a system of death? This is why;

Galatians 3:10 - "For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them."

Matthew 23:23; Discovering The Real Meaning

MATTHEW 23:23...

Matthew 23:23 - "Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone."

TO THE NATION OF ISRAEL

Matthew 23:23 is a rebuke to the corrupt priests of the Nation of Israel who were under the Law of Moses; the New Testament church is not the Nation of Israel, is not under the Law of Moses and has no command to tithe anything to anyone.

HIS REBUKE

Matthew 23:23 must be understood in the light of the entire 23rd chapter of Matthew, and in the whole counsel of God, the entire Bible; 2 Peter 1:20 - "Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation."

Jesus rebuked and exposed them saying they were hypocrites who ignored the important matters of the Law such as judgment, mercy, and faith, who, the priests, had not done them, and indeed left them undone. The "other" they should have been doing that Jesus referred to was not tithing, they were already tithing and did not need a command to do so. The "other" is a reference to judgment, mercy, and faith, or what was called "the spirit of the Law," that is to say the real meaning of the Law.

Jesus explained the spirit of the Law of Moses here...

Matthew 5:27-28 - "Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart."

CONCLUSION

Matthew 23:23 is not a command to the New Testament church to tithe anything to anyone. Only deceptive tithing teachers seeking to rob you of your income twist Matthew 23:23 into you handing over money to them. They are the type of lying hypocrites Jesus exposed and rebuked.

The Apostle Peter spoke of them here...

2 Peter 2:3 - "And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not."

The Apostle Paul spoke of them here...

Titus 1:10-11 - "For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision: Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre's sake."

And, here...

1 Timothy 6:5 - "Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself."

Malachi 3:10; what kind of text?

Malachi 3:10; what kind of text?

>> Descriptive text - God describes something in scripture, but does not directly command something to be done.

>> Prescriptive text - God prescribes something in scripture, commands something to be done.

> Malachi 3:10; for the Nation of Israel; Prescriptive text.

> Malachi 3:10; for the New Testament church; Descriptive text.

Case in point...

Noah's Ark;

> For Noah; Prescriptive text, build an ark.

> For the New Testament church; Descriptive text, no command to build an ark.

Tithing teachers typically confuse descriptive text with prescriptive text regarding Malachi 3:10 claiming that Malachi 3:10 prescribes tithing to the New Testament church.

Malachi 3:10 was written to the Nation of Israel under the Law of Moses (Malachi 1:1, 2:1, 3:7, 4:4), the New Testament church is not the Nation of Israel, is not under the Law of Moses and has no command to tithe anything to anyone.

Acts 15:24 - "Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, Ye must be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave no such commandment:"

Romans 6:14  - "For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace." -

Galatians 3:24-25 - "Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster."

Galatians 5:4 - "You have been severed from Christ, you who are seeking to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace."

IT'S REALLY VERY SIMPLE

IT'S REALLY VERY SIMPLE

>> This;

Malachi 3:10 - "Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it."

>> Must be practiced based on this;

Malachi 3:7 - "Even from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from mine ordinances, and have not kept them. Return unto me, and I will return unto you, saith the LORD of hosts. But ye said, Wherein shall we return?"

>> And, must be practiced based on this;

Malachi 4:4 - "Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments."

>> Or, you're violating this;

Deuteronomy 12:3 - "See that you do all I command you; do not add to it or take away from it."

>> And, you're violating this;

Proverbs 30:6 - "Do not add to His Words, lest He reprove you and you be found a liar."

>> And, you're doing this;

1 John 3:4 - "Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law."

>> And, you're doing this;

Malachi 3:15 - "And now we call the proud happy; yea, they that work wickedness are set up; yea, they that tempt God are even delivered."

>> And, you're then bound by this;

Galatians 3:10 - "For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them."

 >> And, you're bound by this;

 James 2:10 - "For whoever keeps the whole law but fails in one point has become guilty of all of it."

THE SOLUTION?

>> Better to believe this;

Hebrews 7:18 - "For there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof."

>> And, believe this;

Romans 6:14 - "For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace."

>> And, believe this;

Galatians 5:4 - "You have been severed from Christ, you who are seeking to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace."

>> And, believe this;

Galatians 3:24-25 - "Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster."

>> And, come to an understanding of this;

Hebrews 7:19 - "For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God."

>> Then you will understand THAT THIS, FOR THE BELIEVER IN CHRIST JESUS UNDER THE NEW TESTAMENT, IS CANCELED FOREVER;

Malachi 3:10 - "Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it."

>> And, it all leads to this...

John 8:32 - "And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."

YES, IT'S REALLY VERY SIMPLE; BELIEVE AND BE FREE FROM THE DECEPTION.

GOD'S CONVERSATION WITH ISRAEL

GOD'S CONVERSATION WITH ISRAEL

Did you know that God had a conversation with the Nation of Israel concerning tithing, and in particular about Malachi 3:10? In fact, God did, and it's found in Malachi 3:6-10. The topic of the conversation, among other important points is HOW TO PROPERLY OBEY MALACHI 3:10 IN A GODLY RIGHTEOUS MANNER.

In the conversation God instructs Israel as to how to obey Malachi 3:10. Here is the conversation...

>> To begin, God says;

>> Malachi 3:6 - "For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed."

In Malachi 3:6 God is clearly and directly addressing the Nation of Israel, the "sons of Jacob," not the New Testament Church, as also noted in Malachi 1:1; "The burden of the word of the LORD to Israel by Malachi." NOTE: TO ISRAEL. In Malachi 2:1 God also clarifies that He is addressing the Priests of the Nation of Israel;  Malachi 2:1 - "And now, O ye priests, this commandment is for you." Malachi 2:1 designates who God is focusing on; the Priests of Israel and their corrupt behavior, not the New Testament Church.

>> Next;

>> Malachi 3:7 - "Even from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from mine ordinances, and have not kept them. Return unto me, and I will return unto you, saith the LORD of hosts. But ye said, Wherein shall we return?"

In Malachi 3:7 God makes two statements, then a command to return to Him, with a promise that He will return to the people of Israel if they do return to Him. God then quotes a question from the people of Israel; "But ye said, Wherein shall we return?" God has answered the people Israel with a question, a statement of fact, then quoting a question from Israel, then His answer to the question is in Malachi 3:8;

"Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings." - Malachi 3:8. God tells the nation of Israel that they have robbed Him by not bringing the proper offerings and the "tithe of the tithe" (one tenth of the tithe, not the whole tithe) to the Temple Storehouse in Jerusalem, as detailed in the Book of Nehemiah;

Nehemiah 10:38-39 - "And the priest the son of Aaron shall be with the Levites, when the Levites take tithes: and the Levites shall bring up the tithe of the tithes unto the house of our God, to the chambers, into the treasure house. For the children of Israel and the children of Levi shall bring the offering of the corn, of the new wine, and the oil, unto the chambers, where are the vessels of the sanctuary, and the priests that minister, and the porters, and the singers: and we will not forsake the house of our God."

>> Next;

>> In Malachi 3:9 God warns Israel as to what the consequences will be for violating His tithe ordinances which are found in the Law of Moses -- these are the consequences;

"Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation."

It is clear that God is instructing the Nation of Israel to comply with Malachi 3:10 based on, AND IN COMPLIANCE WITH the Law of Moses. In other words, the people, the Israelis, CANNOT act on Malachi 3:10 in just any manner they desire or see fit to do, they MUST comply with Malachi 3:10 based on God's Law, His ordinances, the Law of Moses, as stated in Malachi 4:4;

"Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments."

And, again, as stated in Malachi 3:7; "Even from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from mine ordinances, and have not kept them"

GOD'S ORDINANCES

In God's Ordinances, God makes it very clear that the tithe of the tithe to be brought to the Temple Storehouse is to consist of agricultural items only, as seen in multiple scripture verses; The following scriptures require that the tithe of the tithe brought to the storehouse, and the tithes that are brought to the Levite cities must be limited to agricultural produce only; fruits, vegetables and clean animals from the Land of Israel;

Lev. 27:30, 32, Num. 18:27, Num. 18:28, Deut. 12:17, Deut. 14:22, Deut. 14:23, Deut. 24:21, Deut. 26:12, 2 Chron. 31:5, 2 Chron. 31:6, Neh. 10:37, Neh. 13:5, Mal. 3:10, Matt. 23:23, Luke 11:42.

IT COULD NOT BE CLEARER THAT MONEY FROM INCOME MUST NOT BE INCLUDED IN THE ITEMS OF THE TITHE. In other words, God means what He says, and He says what He means, and we are NOT to change what He says OR ADD TO IT;

> Proverbs 30:6 - "Do not add to His Words, lest He reprove you and you be found a liar."

> Deuteronomy 12:3 - "See that you do all I command you; do not add to it or take away from it."

> Isaiah 8:20 - "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them."

CONTEXT

Malachi 3:10 must be understood, interpreted, complied with and based on Malachi 3:6-9 and on the WHOLE COUNSEL OF GOD;

2 Peter 1:20-21 - "Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost."

THE BOTTOMLINE

In teaching on Malachi 3:10 (the flagship "go to scripture" for many tithing teachers), tithing teachers completely ignore that God is ONLY INSTRUCTING TITHING based on, and in compliance with the Law of Moses. To attempt to "tithe" based on Malachi 3:10 outside of the Law of Moses is sin. Or, as the Apostle John points out; 1 John 3:4 - "Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law."

PAYING A TITHE IN THE FORM OF MONEY IS A VIOLATION OF THE LAW OF GOD AND IS SIN.

To state it simply; one can ONLY be obeying Malachi 3:10 if one is doing so based SOLELY ON THE LAW OF MOSES WHICH ARE GOD'S ORDINANCES. God's ordinances do not include the tithing of money from income. TITHING TEACHERS WHO INSIST THAT YOU TITHE MONEY ARE TEACHING THEIR FOLLOWERS TO VIOLATE THE WORD OF GOD.

Tithing, as referred to in Malachi 3:10 was a matter of (governed by) The Law of Moses, NOT BY THE TRADITIONS AND FAlSE DOCTRINES OF MEN;

Hebrews 7:5 - "And verily they that are of the sons of Levi, who receive the office of the priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brethren, though they come out of the loins of Abraham:"

THE NEW TESTAMENT CHURCH

In the New Testament no Apostle ever instructed tithing, asked for a tithe, rebuked any person or church for not tithing, or received a tithe.

And, Hebrews 7:18 CLEARLY speaking of tithing, puts an end to tithing...

Hebrews 7:18 - "For there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof."

THE PURPOSE OF THE CONVERSATION

In God's conversation with Israel concerning Malachi 3:10 we read clear instructions on how Malachi 3:10 is to be properly obeyed, properly acted on.

In their conversations with their followers, tithing teachers dishonor God and teach disobedience to God's Law, they teach a perverted false approach to Malachi 3:10 not taught in scripture. But, you might say "we are not under the Law of Moses," and by saying so you are correct, that is why Malachi 3:10 does not apply to, and is not addressing the New Testament church. The New Testament church is not the Nation of Israel, is not under the Law of Moses and has no place and no one to tithe to. The New Testament church has no command to tithe anything to anyone.
